General Questions
What is Dungeons & Flagons?
Dungeons & Flagons is a tabletop gaming space that has all the tools and toys for an immersive experience. You can rent our game room for your own D&D or tabletop sessions, book guided events or join one of our themed campaigns. We offer the use of props, miniatures, sound and lighting effects, and optional Game Masters for hire to make your story come alive.
Where are you located?
We’re located in Downtown Lansing Michigan at 215 S Washington Sq, Ste B downstairs on the Garden Level within the historic Atrium Building.
Where do I park?
Street parking is metered until 6pm on weekdays. Washington Sq has a 2 hour limit, while the side streets have a 4 hour limit. However, we recommend that you park within the South Grand Parking Structure at 201 S. Grand Ave, Lansing, MI 48933 if it is before 6pm Monday-Friday. Weekends and evenings, feel free to park on the street for free.
How do I book a session?
Bookings can be made online at www.dnf.games/book. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your spot, with the remainder due after your the session.
Payments, Refunds & Rescheduling
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is paid in person after your session. We take most forms of payment.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before your scheduled session are fully refundable.
Cancellations made within 48 hours are nonrefundable, but we allow one free reschedule.
What if we don’t show up?
No-shows are required to prepay in full for their next booking before they can return.
Do you offer gift cards or prepaid packages?
Yes! Gift cards and prepaid packages are available and make great gifts for adventurers. They’re refundable within 24 hours of purchase (if unused) and can always be transferred to another player.
During Your Visit
What should we bring?
Bring your imagination, your dice and your party! Everything else - props, minis, ambiance and costume pieces- are available for use.
You’re welcome to bring safe, clearly fake props or costume weapons to enhance your roleplay! For everyone’s safety, real or functional weapons are not allowed - this includes metal blades, working bows or anything that could cause harm.
Do I need to have a character created already?
Most players will already have their characters created on a paper character sheet or in a digital form through a platform such as D&D Beyond. If you don't have a character already, we can provide pre-generated characters or can assist in character creation for an additional $5 per person.
Can we bring food or drinks?
Yes, snacks and drinks are welcome. All items should be placed on provided mats and coasters so as not to damage our custom table. We will also have some items for sale or partnerships in place with local eateries for catering. (Psst...its never a bad idea to bribe your Game Master with food!)
Can we use our own props, minis, or terrain?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own items, or use ours. Just handle all items (yours and ours) with care.
What happens if something gets broken or goes missing?
If a prop, miniature or costume piece is damaged or stolen due to negligence or misuse, we’ll charge the card on file for the replacement cost plus a 15% processing fee.
Safety & Accessibility
Do we need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Every participant must sign our Safety & Liability Waiver before playing. It can be filled out online in advance.
Are there any age restrictions?
Guests under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver.
Do you use any special effects?
Yes—some sessions may include fog machines, flashing lights, or ambient sounds. If you’d prefer to avoid these, just let us know when booking.
Are you accessible?
We strive to make our space accessible for all players. Please note any accommodations you need on your booking form, and we’ll do our best to provide them.
Are there security cameras?
Yes, cameras are active in public areas for safety and loss prevention. No audio or private areas are recorded.
Policies & Other Questions
What happens if we’re late?
If you arrive late, your session may still end at the scheduled time to respect other bookings. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for setup.
Can I host a private party or event?
Yes! The game room can be rented for birthdays, corporate events, or themed parties. Just let us know your plans on the booking form.
Can we take pictures or videos during our session?
Of course! You’re welcome to capture your adventure and tag us on Instagram, Facebook or by leaving a Google Review. By signing the waiver, you can also opt in to let us share photos for marketing if you like.
Do you have Dungeon Masters for hire?
Yes! We work with experienced GMs who can run one-shots or ongoing campaigns for your group. Just ask when booking.
